Detailed comparison

Pauses the scene and calculates waveforms, phase-sensitive cancellation, and comparison readings.

Model and limits

NYC street and building geometry; synthetic traffic demand, signals, source levels, and engine waveforms. No field calibration.

The live map sums A-weighted source energy along retarded direct and first-order reflected paths, with approximate roof diffraction. It assumes incoherent path energy, not phase cancellation; current spectral weighting is reused across path delays. Active cancellation is included only in the detailed waveform comparison.

Colors interpolate between a 7-by-7 outdoor sampling grid at receiver height. Marker readings are calculated separately at their positions. The timestamp identifies the latest completed sample; visual movement does not imply a fresh acoustic result.

-- physical sound speed. Optional trails are geometric propagation markers, not a full wavefield. The 8 kHz acoustic solver excludes frequencies above 4 kHz.

Passive surface interception and powered output have separate ledgers. A panel ledger is not a complete canyon energy audit. No guaranteed reduction, rider identification, or manufactured-reflector performance is claimed.
